Meet Dr. Zunka
Home:
Dr. Zunka lives in Front Royal, Virginia, located at the Northern Entrance to the Skyline Drive and Shenandoah National Park.
Family:
He is married to JoEllen, a native of Montana. They share their lovely home with a steady flow of visitors from around the country and the diverse wildlife of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
Education:
Dr. Zunka is a 1972 graduate of Virginia Polytechnic Institute and a 1975 graduate of the Medical College of Virginia. He has completed over 12,000 hours of continuing education in restorative dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, temporomandibular joint (TMJ) dysfunction, nutrition, homeopathy, dento-cranial manipulation and hypnosis.
Dr. Zunka is a Diplomat of the American Board of Homeopathy in Dentistry, a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry, a Fellow of the Academy of Stress and Chronic Disease and a Member of the American Society for Dental Esthetics, Fellow of the Cranial Academy, American Academy of Osteopathy.
From 1975 to 1976, Dr. Zunka was an Assistant Professor of Fixed Prosthodontics and Occlusion at the University of Florida. Since then, he has been in private practice in Front Royal and has been teaching classes in dental homeopathy, dento-cranial manipulation, nutrition, TMJ dysfunctions and Non-surgical treatment of gum disease.

He is Past-President of the Holistic Dental Association, President of the W.G. Sutherland Temporo-Mandibular Dental Group, Secretary of the National Board of Homeopathy in Dentistry.
Community Involvement:
Dr. Zunka has been involved with the Boy Scouts for over 50 years. Since 1968, he has served as assistant scout master of Boy Scout Troop 52. He is an Eagle Scout and in 1993, he received the Silver Beaver Award, the highest honor in scouting. In 2017 he was name the Distinguished Citizen of the Year. He is a member of the Front Royal Kiwanis Club and the Front Royal Chamber of Commerce.
Interests:
Dr. Zunka loves the outdoors, backpacking, skiing, photography and travel. He plays the bass fiddle in his bluegrass band, Whiskey Creek, plays at many local festivals. He also raises Christmas trees for his Boy Scout troop’s annual fund raiser.
