As a new patient, your complete comprehensive dental examination is a detailed (3.5) three and a half hour experience which includes:
• An intake interview--reviewing your medical and dental history
• Full-mouth series of state-of-the-art digital x-rays, microscopic slide, caries-risk assesment, VELScope Screening
• Comprehensive examination of your gums, teeth, mouth, jaw joint and occlusion
• Review of the findings and treatment planning
• Financial consultation

Dr. Zunka offers you a unique dental experience that is different from any you've had in the past. Our practice features a friendly, caring team using the latest in dental technology. When you need to see us for an office visit, simply call for an appointment. We will arrange a time that best fits your schedule.
Please alert the office if you have a medical condition that may be of concern prior to surgery )i.e. diabetes, high blood pressure, artificial heart valves and joints, rheumatic fever, etc.) or if you are on any medication (i.e.: heart medications, aspirin, anticoagulant therapy, etc.) or require medication prior to dental cleanings (i.e. antibiotics for pre-med)
*New patients age 18 and under are seen for cleaning with hygienist, bitewing x-rays, VELScope Screening and exam with Dr. Zunka.
IMPORTANT: A parent or guardian must accompany all patients under 18 at their scheduled visit.
X-rays: If your previous dentist has taken recent x-rays (within 12 months) you may request that they forward them to our office. If you would like us to utilize these x-rays as comparision at your scheduled appointment we must have these in the office PRIOR TO your scheduled appointment. So as to keep our schedule running smoothly for all patients, we are not able to wait until day of your appointment to request these.
Your dental appointments are scheduled carefully with time, materials and dental equipment reserved specifically for your care. We understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise, which may result in a need to cancel or reschedule. We request a 48-hour advance notice for canceling or rescheduling your appointment.
When necessary we do require a deposit in the amount of 20% of the total appointment cost to reserve specific appointment times or for appointment of 3 or more hours. This deposit will be applied to your visit.
